Josh Allen vs. Josh Allen

In Week 9 of the 2021 NFL season, the 5-2 Buffalo Bills traveled to Jacksonville to take on the struggling 1-6 Jaguars. The Jaguars, who had not won a game in the United States since Week 1 of last season, were 14.5 point underdogs, as everyone expected the high powered Bills to steamroll Jacksonville. The matchup featured two players with the same name, linebacker Josh Allen for the Jaguars, and quarterback Josh Allen for the Bills. In this head to head matchup, Josh Allen prevailed.

Josh Allen made history against Josh Allen. The Jaguars linebacker became the first player in NFL history to sack someone with the same exact name as the pass rusher. The Jacksonville Jaguars upset the Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills in a defensive matchup, 9 to 6. Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who was the MVP favorite heading into the game, finished with two interceptions, a fumble, and no touchdowns. The MVP of the game however was the Jaguars Josh Allen. The linebacker, along with the sack, finished with 8 tackles and 2 for a loss. Jaguars Josh Allen also intercepted and recovered a fumble off of the quarterback.

This season so far, Bills quarterback Josh Allen has 2,236 passing yards with 17 passing touchdowns and only 5 interceptions, along with 319 rushing yards, and 3 rushing touchdowns. On the other hand, Jaguars linebacker Josh Allen has 5.5 sacks and 27 tackles.

The Buffalo Bills look to bounce back from this embarrassing loss as they travel to East Rutherford, New Jersey, to play the 2-6 New York Jets. The Jaguars, who haven’t been eliminated from the playoffs yet, look to carry this momentum against the division rivals Indianapolis Colts.

  1. I’m impressed, I have to say. Actually rarely do I encounter a blog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your idea is excellent; the difficulty is one thing that not sufficient people are talking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled throughout this in my search for one thing regarding this.
