Future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

“Avengers, assemble!” Steve Rogers, Captain America. Well, Marvel fans assemble, because Kevin Fiege, President and Primary Producer of Marvel Studios, has a lot more in store for the next few phases. Even though the characters of Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, and many more, are no longer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) there still are three more phases within the MCU, with plenty of new, talented actors, actresses, and directors.

The first of two sagas in the MCU is the Multiverse saga, which has many upcoming releases. The other half is called the Infinity Saga which encompasses Phases one, two, and three. According to The Direct, Infinity Saga has films that focus more on the Infinity Stones, which could be the reason some films such as Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 were left out. The last two movies of the saga, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, however, end it in an appropriate way.

The first phase of the Multiverse Saga is Phase four. This phase has already had all of its movies and shows released. The films in phase four include Black Widow, Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder. Additionally, the shows in phase four that came out on Disney+ are WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, The Falcon, and the Winter Soldier, and What if..?.

Phase five of the Multiverse Saga includes the movies and shows that are going to come to theaters or Disney+ in late 2022 or 2023. Some of these are Guardians of the Galaxy starring  Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, and Dave Bautista, The Marvels starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris, and Captain America: New World Order, starring Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and many more. The shows of phase five include Ironheart, Echo, Secret Invasion, and a second season of Loki. According to GameSpot, Disney+ is bringing X-Men ‘97 back, as well.

Once phase five is done in 2024, phase six is rumored to begin with a great Valentine’s day date idea with Shang Chi and the Wreckage of Time releasing on February 14, 2025. Which could get pushed back or released earlier. Phase six is also arranged to have two big Avenger movies since Avengers: Endgame collected about 2.7 billion United States dollars (USD) when it was released. The two movies that are receiving the most attention from Marvel Fans right now are Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Later on, Marvel and Disney+ will release Armor Wars, starring Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, also known as War Machine.

Throughout the next few years, there will be plenty of Marvel movies that will bring all types of emotion. Assemble for the next phases of the MCU because it is just the beginning.
