Elon Musk Buys Twitter

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and Space X, just bought the social networking website known as Twitter for $44 billion after reaching an agreement about his offer originally made two weeks ago. He plans to make the website a private company. Elon is also very big on free speech and does not believe that offensive tweets should be deleted as long as they’re legal.

His plan for Twitter is to make it easier for people to speak their minds to the fullest. Many people are afraid some individuals are going to take advantage of this and most likely take it to another level. One thing that people are hoping that Musk adds is an edit button. Unlike other social media apps, once someone tweets something, they can’t change it. The only thing they can do is delete it altogether. Most likely people will use this as a way to cover up past tweets that, if they were discovered, would ruin some people’s careers or reputations.

Elon claims that the changes he will be focusing on are banning bots, making Twitter’s algorithm public, and allowing people to post more freely without having to worry about being banned. Hopefully, the only thing he plans on changing is the app. The CEO of Twitter Parag Agrawal said that there are no plans for any layoffs, but it was said in a meeting that the future of the company is in the hands of Musk.
