Top Three Games of the Week

Saints @ Titans:

The Saints lost their starting quarterback Jameis Winston due to injury in a week 8 game versus the Buccaneers. They have to resort to playing quarterback Trevor Siemian, who’s been mostly a career backup in his career. The Saints played both Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill, also known as their “Human Swiss Army Knife”. They lost to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday which is a big loss because if they won that game they would’ve been atop the NFC South at 6-2. In the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans sit at the top of it nice and pretty at 7-2 with the Indianapolis Colts being the closest in the race for it at 4-5. The Titans just held the Los Angeles Rams’ explosive offense to just 16 points and picked off an MVP candidate Matthew Stafford. They are red hot winning five games in a row, fans will see if they can keep the streak going against the Saints this week as a -3 point favorites at home.

Browns @ Patriots:

The Browns just released Odell Beckham Jr last week and went off to win 41-17 against a 5-3 Bengals team that was just the top team in the AFC the week before. Baker Mayfield’s stats and record has been better without Odell in the lineup playing and it shows. Nick Chubb went off against the Bengals on Sunday rushing for 137 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Nick Chubb however has tested positive for Covid on Tuesday and will have to have two tests come back negative in consecutive days 24 hours apart. This could hurt the Browns badly if Nick Chubb doesn’t play against the Patriots because they are red hot at the moment, winning four of their last five games. Rookie Mac Jones has looked great in his first year with the Patriots, fans will have to see if he can keep his hot streak going against a good Cleveland Browns defense, the Patriots are -1.5 point favorites at home.

Chiefs @ Raiders:

The Chiefs have been a question mark this year, with just one of them being their star player Patrick Mahomes leading the league in turnovers. The Chiefs just came off of a horrid looking game from both the Packers and Chiefs, they won 13-7 against a Aaron Rodgers-less Packers. The defense played great against a first time starting quarterback Jordan Love, who the Packers drafted last year. The Raiders just got upset last week against the Giants losing 23-16 after a fumble late in the fourth quarter of the game. Raider fans could be having some deja-vu from this loss. The Raiders in 2019 started 6-4 and then went on to finish 7-9, in 2020 they started out 6-3 and finished 8-8, this year they’ve started out 5-3 and Raider fans are hoping they don’t have to deal with another disappointing second half season collapse. The Raiders are +2.5 point underdogs against the Chiefs at home.
