Activist Malala Yousafzai Has Announced Her Marriage

Activist Malala Yousafzai has announced her marriage to Asser Malik. Malala is the youngest Nobel Prize, winner. She is the second Pakistani woman to receive the award, She fought for girls’ rights and their ability to go to school. 

They tied the knot in her parent’s home in Birmingham, England. People were shocked when they found out the news. In the past, she has said that she does not see the point of getting married. She said ¨ If you want to have a person in your life, why do you have the sign marriage papers, why can it just be a partnership.¨

Yousafzai has received a lot of hateful comments. She even said that she didn’t know whether she would even get married, but obviously, something or someone changed her mind because as you see she got married. Her mother told her to never say that she would not get married because marriage is beautiful.                  

Men in Pakistan would send emails to Malala´s father asking for her hand in marriage. While she was doing her second year of university, she thought that she would live with her parents for the rest of her life.
