Students vs Teachers

              Spring break 2025

Today’s report on Monday, March 10,2025, consists of two students and one Teacher. The first teacher I interviewed was Mr. Erhard. I asked him what he was doing over spring break. He said, “Not much, hanging out,” which seems like a regular answer here from Leonardo Matute in 9th grade, who says he’s going to be “playing soccer like a mother,” and that’s an interesting phrase to use, but see how the kid is persay doing something active and the teacher isn’t, that interesting. Now, let’s hear from Cerys from 9th grade. She says she would “Work on an animation.” I asked more about it, and apparently, one of her creative arts teachers gave her a chance to draw and create a cartoon and show it to her class. When she was done, she even thought about showing it to the whole school if the administration allowed it. It seems like this: students find a passion in art and will use their free time to make a chance to be someone in that division.

TODAY’S REPORT ON March 11, 2025, will also have one adult but three students today. I said, “So what are you doing this spring break,” Mrs. Patty said, “Well, first, let’s see, I’m going to go to Aruba it’s an ABC Islands, I’m going to eat at all the fancy restaurants, and I’m going to five shipwrecks every day and ofc I’m going to show and make out a lot” seems like a lot of fun most likely because this one of the younger teachers. A student, Teodora, in 10th grade, says “Nothing” in response to the question, which is a surprise because most would think the students would enjoy their best life doing all types of things. For example:

Lindsey Smith, in 12th grade, says, “Umm, Friday I have a track meet, and I probably won’t get back until 3am, and my  grandma, aunt, and sister are coming to town and not much else” so she’s swamped

TODAY’S REPORT ON MARCH 12,2025 We have two students. First is Emily. She said she is “going to the beach, and I’m going to have a baby sister.” How exciting. Next, we have Makenzee Tiffin, who said, “Over spring break, I’m going to catch up on sleep and go hang out with my friends at the beach. Also, go fishing and hopefully catch something! Hopefully, it can be a good spring break!” students seem to have their spring break planned out for them.

TODAYS REPORT ON MARCH 13, 2025, we have one teacher and three students. Tatyana Brady, a substitute teacher from Russia, said, “You know it is my birthday tomorrow today. I will fly to Maryland to spend time with my daughter and grandchildren and have family time. I’ve got presents. I’m going to get a massage, which my daughter got, and the most important part is spending time with my family.” What a rollercoaster! It sounds like she’s going to have a great birthday. Now, we will ask Finn Rose. Finn said she would be “Helping out with tech so I can get caught up.” For what I ask, she responds with “Mammamia.” Then Erlinczea says she will be “hanging out with Sammy. Next Saturday and maybe the next day too, I’m going to meet Stormie’s boyfriend, and I’m going to try to convince Amelia to let us ride her boat,” which sounds eventful. Lastly, Carolina Lopes said, “I’m going to travel to Texas today,” which seems fun.

In conclusion, I’ve realized that most students like to start their spring break early. For instance, most students leave right after school to start their break, while teachers either have so much going on to look forward to or have nothing really at all.
