The Key West High School (KWHS) is having a field trip to Miami, Florida this Saturday, 22nd, 2025 to give the actors a taste of perfetinalism.The Key West High School drama club announced at their performance on October 16th, 2024,  in an alaberent way that they will be putting on Mamma Mia.You can see the video @KWHS Drama Club on TikTok.

The first audition was November 15, 2024 and first call backs were posted November 22nd and the cast list were given out November 27, 2024 and introduced the ensemble members December 10, 2024. November was an exciting time for everyone who got a roll. After all the casting,  the crew and cast started getting their scripts on December 21st and working away. They have had rehearsals every week day from January 2nd until now and have plenty more ahead to look forward to.The Key West High School Drama Club has had its ups and downs so far with the musical, but still have continued to try their best and will pull thru.The directors and choreographers have all been a big part of it and have even given them the chance to see there same performance done, but by professionals. A lot of the cast hasn’t actually seem Mama Mia until recently, so this is a great experience not to only watch the movie version or the theater broadway version on YouTube but can see it in real time and with there other drama club peers as a team of performers.The drama club is so excited for this field trip and appreciates Carly for making the call to Adrian Arch in Miami and setting up this wonderful experience. Shout out to Mrs. B, the KWHS theater teacher,who also helped arrange the trip and get everyone on board.
