Around the world, the economy has changed over the decades, with the very first known currencies being coins, and every single one had a value to the person who had it. As the years went on, things began to gain value, and some began to increase. In modern times, money has now become a sort of necessity in the way of life. The problem now is that due to increases in specific amenities like food and other necessities, many people are now unable to afford these necessities due to some people not being able to acquire jobs for many reasons. This leaves many people to either become unemployed due to the lack of work and become homeless due to the lack of money or they have to enter a shelter to make sure they don’t die. The price is increasing because companies want to make more money, so they bring up the cost so when people have to buy their products, they have to spend almost, in some cases, their entire allowance or savings just to buy a meal for a family. This makes it so some people and even children will have to starve and even die in some circumstances due to companies increasing prices just to earn a little bit more revenue from people.

An example of this would be a family that does not have the best financial situation, with the father having to put in hours at work overtime without any pay and the mother not being able to get a job. Hence, they head to the supermarket to try and make a meal for their family but they can’t due to the price of groceries being too much for them. Hence, they have to tell their son they won’t eat for who knows how long to even the point where they can become malnourished and even in the most serious situations, have the family die. This shows how if the prices were too high for some people and they can’t work or earn money then they will either have to not eat for the day and hope for another day or have to go to a shelter just for some food to feed themselves. Another example would be a place where no one has been having a good day and food is high priced with many people not able to eat or even drink due to water being overpriced as well due to the increase of these many people will turn violent and riots could break out and have the place turn into a violent place and would have to be stopped with drastic actions by the government. We can prevent this, however by having companies lower the prices but also maybe being able to have citizens and people earn more money by the government opening new jobs and more so that people who are in an economic problem could be helped out of it so that no one has to go without the basic amenities of life.
