Squid Games is a South Korean dystopian survival horror thriller that came out on Netflix on September 17, 2021. The first series of Squid Games shocked the media with its alaberent plot. When the game Red, Light Green Light was introduced the media blew up its signature music in the background if the game Red Light Green Light “mugunghwa kkochi piotsseumnida”, which can be translated to “the Hibiscus flower has bloomed” became a viral trend all over the world. Started by research the main reason why season 1 of squid games was so popular was because of the “Suspenseful and Engaging storytelling”.

Once Squid Games season 2 came out, fans were going crazy with rumors of what may happen. Some people even thought player 067 (played by Hoyeon) who died in the first season, rumors said maybe there would be a flashback of her. With the disappointing realization on December 26, 2024 when season 2 came out thousands of fans were disappointed in the sense that she did not in fact make an appearance in the second season. But even more fans were star struck when they saw Lee Byung-hun, who plays Hwang In-ho who is the front man of the games, appear in season 2 yet not as the front man but as a player. On other events it wasn’t any random player, he showed up as player 001 who was one of the main characters of season 1 so passes away, but before he did the story exposed that he worked as one of the VIP’s.The VIP’s are rich people who bet on who they think will win in the end of the 9 games,That’s what they did in the first season.With this information fans took a not very wild guyse and thought he would betray the main character 067 played by Lee Jung-jae.The fans were indeed correct with this accusations yet are still fed up with the writers because of the cliffhanger ending they produced.
