I went around the KWHS campus over some time asking about people’s vacations or plans for Thanksgiving. Let’s see what a 9th grader has planned. Jerson Mendoza said, “I will be with my family and celebrating. I will probably be at my house and playing video games and going out with my friends,” interesting Jerson. Now let’s see what a 10th grader has planned. Mackenzee Tiffin said she “would probably be on a cruise” Sounds fun now let us know what an 11th grader has planned, it seems like the grade differences don’t change and they will all be celebrating. Spencer Wish in 11th grade said ”cooking turkey” Oh this is a new one Lindsey Smith the 12th grader said she “would most likely be working on Thanksgiving” and “going to look at colleges”
It’s interesting how most upper-class people have things related to work during the holidays of just chilling and the lower classmen have more physical activities planned, isn’t it . Let’s hear more from 9th graders. Leonardo Matute in 9th grade says, “Eat? I don’t know”. Ashley Jean from 9th grade also says “I’m going to my sister’s house and get food”, and Roosevens Annylusse says “I don’t know, eating food”.
Now there are more 9th-grade students with a plan of just eating food. Let’s move to the 10th grade now. Alexandria Buscem said “We are having friends over for Friendsgiving” What a nice thing to do. When some kids don’t have the best home environment you can always do Friendsgiving and celebrate or relax with your friends. Nessa Carrillo in 11th grade said “Turkey Cooking”, and Nakathy Dort said “Eating with my family and friends” which is another wonderful thing to do. Susana Linares said, “I’ll spend time with family and make traditional foods since we don’t like turkey.”. Interesting to see we have someone with a different family tradition than most of the people who will be celebrating Thanksgiving this year. Wow, shout out to Susana Linares, you are the first student to introduce us to even the thought of different foods during Thanksgiving because of different traditions and or religions.
